The first sign of skin cancer is usually a spot, mole or a freckle that has changed in colour,
shape or size;
a new spot different from other spots in that area ;
a sore that does not heal.
The Katoomba Skin Cancer Clinic,
The doctors here work exclusively in the skin cancer field and hold The Diploma of practical Dermatology
from the UK.
All services here are bulk billed
and no referrals are required.
A skin cancer can start as a smooth, pale or red lump or it can be like a black mole.
It can be dry, flat and scaly.
It may bleed or develop a crust.
Although a change in the colour of a mole is a typical sign of skin cancer,
about 10% of melanomas have no pigmentation.
The only way to be sure is to get your skin fully checked.
